Cozy restaurant with mama food. Not sure if their food is authentic Black Forest styles but they are delicious.

The food was delicious and the service was nice. However, we found it quite strange that we only got our food when the children were almost ready. When asked, the explanation came that this is probably always the case here. A bit of a shame as we would have liked to have eaten with our children. Otherwise it was okay.

Super good kitchen. The Schnitzel construction kit leaves no limits to creativity. Staff nice, friendly and helpful. We gladly recommend and will come back when the opportunity arises.

Unfriendly service, the sausages without mustard or ketchup, first demand then grudgingly

After a short hike, we stopped at "Zum Schlüssel". Since it was warm, we wanted to sit outside with our dog, which was also possible after a short back and forth with the waitress. There was no drink menu, but a menu with all kinds of dishes. Since our hunger was not so great, but we had an appetite for a small meal, we only ordered a grilled sausage and an iced coffee from the very distant waitress. Food came without mustard or ketchup. Had to be asked whether this is in stock and has to be ordered. The waitress reacted annoyed, but then brought the mustard. Unfortunately, since there was no drinks menu, it was not possible for us to see the price for the iced coffee. We think 5 euros for this drink is excessive, but our own fault. We should have asked for the drinks menu. Through damage one becomes smart. Doesn't happen again so quickly. Anyway, the service was terrible. Therefore only one star.

The restaurant is located in a valley where you could drive past. But the food is very, very tasty and it doesn't matter what you choose from the menu, it just tastes delicious. We recommend. For the next vacation definitely again! 😁

Service top, Location a bit remote but very romantic. The food is top class at affordable prices. Unfortunately my battery was empty otherwise you would have seen pictures of the very nicely presented food. Pannier turkey schnitzel filled with tomatoes, cheese, ham and herb butter. Very tasty and tender as butter. 250g XL € 13.50 Rumpsteake with herb butter, onions and bread. Medium-rare fried juicy and tender, € 13.80 And the potato feast with roasted potato slices, tomatoes and cheese, served in an iron pan. Also very tasty and a generous portion that will fill you up very well. A delicious, colorful side salad for each season for € 3.50 So there is absolutely nothing to complain about If you are in the area around Freudenstadt in the southern Black Forest, go to the café and restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal and a good Alpirsbacher beer or shandy. On my next visit I will definitely post pictures of the great food. Promised

Eating very good Salad Dresing the absolute hammer in itself super load but for my taste a little in the jahew a renovation would be necessary

We were there to eat. It tasted good, but the service is not only rude but also brazen! Among other things, wrongly billed and not even excused!

Home-style cuisine at decent prices in a typical Black Forest atmosphere. The waitress is attentive, but I am not a friend of the (certainly not mean) taunts that are known in the pub culture, also here. All in all, highly recommended:)

Very friendly welcome and nice waitresses. I went twice with my family and it tasted great. The schnitzel and the creme paris sauce were perfect. In addition freshly tapped Apkpirsbacher and Bad Peterstaler Limo.👌🏼

Schnitzel and fries are also available in the afternoon and taste very good. The fries are well seasoned and the schnitzel is juicy. The operation looked a bit rude.

Great place. Good food. Nice Staff. Nice atmosphere. Can bring your kids and have them play downstairs in the playground or if the weather's good take em to the mini golf across or another outdoor playground

It is inexpensive. Unfortunately, it also looks very old. The food is more like home cooking. You can come here to satisfy your hunger. It is a pleasant place. Staff is friendly. You can do it. Three stars are fair. It is not upscale here

We had a delicious dinner here. From the outside, this place does not seem very inviting. But inside it is cozy and nice atmosphere. Also nice staff and the food was very good. Therefore, you can highly recommend it.

Waiting staff untrained and impolite. Food was tasty, unfortunately left annoyed by the service. (So simple) I would have given 1 star but the food was good. Expect poor service, with decent food, in a quiet restaurant.
